Cape Fynbos paper placemats
Drawing from the regional narrative of the Western Cape, Pierre Alexei’s illustrations bring the wild complexity of fynbos to the summer table. Designed and produced locally in Cape Town, this pad of 24 paper placemats features species ranging from the vivid orange watsonia to the delicate Cape heath. The inclusion of a descriptive identification band highlights a commitment to ingenuity and nature-led education. These mats offer a sensory connection to the outdoors, creating a domestic sanctuary where the ritual of dining meets the artisanal study of South Africa’s unique flora.
